Regional President: Chris Shah
Chris Shah is the Regional President for the Dallas-Fort Worth area and has been with the bank since 2019. Prior to joining Great Plains Bank, Chris held senior roles at several other banks in the DFW market. Chris moved to Texas from Gujarat, India to pursue higher education in 1998 and has lived here ever since. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Texas-Arlington, a master’s degree from Southern Methodist University, and is currently attending Southwest Graduate School of Banking. In his spare time, Chris enjoys hiking and traveling with his wife and daughter. Chris is on the board of the Multicultural Alliance.
Market President Bob Thomas
Prior to joining Great Plains Bank, Bob Thomas made his entrance into the banking industry within the retail sector while at the University of Texas at Dallas. After earning a degree in Business Administration (and Biology), Bob pursued a career in commercial banking beginning with commercial real estate underwriting and, most recently, as commercial group manager at an $80 billion financial institution. His 17-year commercial banking experience also includes several key lending roles as well as serving as state credit officer. Bob currently serves as Board President for the construction arm of Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity and was previously a board member for the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Bob enjoys playing basketball, traveling and spending quality time with his wife, daughter and son.
Branch Manager: Iris Brown
Iris Brown is the Branch Manager for the Irving location. She has been with Great Plains Bank since February of 2020. Prior to joining Great Plains Bank, Iris has worked in the banking industry for over 5 years. Iris was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She enjoys spending time with her 13 year old daughter, traveling and volunteering in her spare time.
